SIZZIO is designed to make everyday cooking easier. These terms explain the rules for using the app and website, including generated recipes, imported recipe links and paid SIZZIO+ access.
1. Using SIZZIO
By using SIZZIO, you agree to these Terms of Use. SIZZIO is designed to help you discover, plan and cook meals. You are responsible for deciding whether a recipe, ingredient, technique or suggestion is suitable for you and anyone you cook for.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
2. Food safety
Always follow safe food-handling practices, check cooking temperatures and use your own judgement. Generated timings can vary with equipment, ingredient size, starting temperature and other real-world conditions. SIZZIO is a cooking aid, not a substitute for appropriate food-safety guidance.
3. Allergies and dietary needs
Preference and allergy filters are helpful tools, not a guarantee. Always verify ingredient labels, cross-contamination risks and suitability yourself, especially for severe allergies or medical dietary requirements. Do not rely on SIZZIO as medical advice.
4. Nutrition and cost estimates
Calories, protein, other nutrition values and price estimates are approximate. Actual values vary by brands, portions, substitutions, preparation methods and retailers.
5. Generated recipes and cooking assistance
SIZZIO may use automated systems to create recipes, adapt quantities, suggest substitutions and answer cooking questions. Generated content can occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable. You should review the recipe and use reasonable cooking judgement before relying on it.
6. Imported recipes and public links
Recipes created from public recipe pages, TikTok, YouTube or other supported public links are based on information available from the source. When a source does not expose a complete recipe, SIZZIO may reconstruct missing details. Imported or reconstructed recipes should not be assumed to reproduce a creator's exact original wording, quantities or method.
You are responsible for the links and material you choose to submit. Do not use SIZZIO to infringe copyright, privacy or other rights. Rights in third-party source material remain with their respective owners.
7. Accounts and saved data
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account. Please contact hello@sizzio.co.uk if you believe your account has been compromised.
Some content may also be stored locally on your device and can be lost if SIZZIO is removed, the device is changed or local app data is cleared before supported data is synced.
8. SIZZIO+ subscriptions
Where offered, SIZZIO+ is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the App Store. SIZZIO may offer monthly and yearly subscription options. A monthly plan may include a 7-day introductory free trial for eligible users when that offer is shown at purchase.
Unless cancelled before a trial or subscription renews, Apple will charge the price displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase and the subscription will continue automatically for the selected billing period. Local pricing, taxes, currency and introductory-offer eligibility are determined by the App Store.
You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewal; it does not normally remove access that has already been paid for during the current subscription period. Restore Purchases can be used in SIZZIO to restore an eligible subscription associated with a supported Apple account.
App Store purchases are also subject to Apple's applicable purchase and App Store terms.
9. Free access and fair use
SIZZIO may provide a free level of access with usage limits. Those limits can change as the service develops. Paid access is intended for normal personal cooking use and may be subject to reasonable fair-use, abuse-prevention and service-protection limits.
10. Website tools and content
The SIZZIO website may provide free cooking calculators, conversion tools, ingredient ideas and guides. These are intended as practical aids. Results can vary depending on ingredients, equipment and assumptions, so check important measurements and food-safety decisions yourself.
11. Acceptable use
Do not misuse SIZZIO, attempt to disrupt it, bypass access controls or usage limits, probe or interfere with security, scrape private information, overload the service, reverse engineer protected parts of the service where prohibited by law, or use SIZZIO in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
12. SIZZIO intellectual property
The SIZZIO name, branding, website design, app interface, software and original SIZZIO content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you permission to use the service for its intended personal purposes; they do not transfer ownership of SIZZIO intellectual property to you.
13. Third-party services
SIZZIO depends on third-party services for features such as hosting, account services, AI-assisted recipe generation, imagery, public recipe sources and App Store purchases. Their own terms and policies may also apply when you use those services. SIZZIO is not responsible for third-party websites or services that it does not control.
14. Availability and changes
We work to keep SIZZIO available and useful, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, usage limits and availability may change as the service develops. Where required, material changes affecting paid subscriptions or consumer rights will be communicated through the app, App Store or another appropriate channel.
15. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or third parties, including in cases of abuse, fraud, security risk or serious breach of these terms. You can stop using SIZZIO at any time, and signed-in users can use the in-app Delete account option to permanently delete their SIZZIO account and synced account data.
16. Liability and your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights. To the extent permitted by law, SIZZIO is not responsible for losses caused by misuse of the service, reliance on clearly approximate information, third-party services outside our control, or circumstances that could not reasonably have been prevented.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when SIZZIO changes, when legal requirements change or when we introduce new features. The date at the top will be updated when material changes are made. If a material change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it where required.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law in your country gives you additional rights or requires another law to apply. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
