How much rice for two people?

About 150g dry rice works as a starting point when rice is a main part of the meal, or around 120g when it is a side.

Does cooked rice weigh more than dry rice?

Yes. Rice absorbs water while cooking, so the cooked weight is considerably higher than the dry amount you measure first.
